Quick Synopsis
Doug's father, an Air Force pilot, is shot down by enemy MiGs from a radical Middle Eastern country, and the military is unable to mount a rescue. Determined to save his father, Doug teams up with Chappy, an Air Force Colonel who supports a risky plan: they will fly two fighter jets themselves to bomb the MiG base and then attempt to rescue Doug's father.
Detailed Synopsis of Iron Eagle
When Doug's father, an Air Force Pilot, is shot down by MiGs belonging to a radical Middle Eastern state, no one seems able to get him out. Doug finds Chappy, an Air Force Colonel who is intrigued by the idea of sending in two fighters piloted by himself and Doug to rescue Doug's father after bombing the MiG base.
