Hud

Hud Bannon is a harsh and selfish young man living on his family's Texas ranch, whose reckless behavior damages the lives of those around him. He clashes frequently with his father, Homer, a strict and moral man who disapproves of Hud's lack of responsibility and ethics. Hud's nephew, Lon, initially admires Hud's rebellious and dishonest ways but gradually becomes disillusioned as he recognizes Hud's dangerous disregard for others. In a world divided between those who take advantage and those who are taken advantage of, Hud sees himself as a winner, justifying his cheating by claiming that laws should be interpreted leniently.
