Hairspray

In 1960s Baltimore, Tracy Turnblad, a cheerful and confident teenager who is proud of her plus-size figure, auditions for The Corny Collins Show, a popular local dance program, and earns a spot as a regular dancer. As she gains popularity on the show, Tracy uses her influence to support her friends and challenge the show's long-standing practice of racial segregation, aiming to promote integration and equality.
