Quick Synopsis
Erica Vandross is a sharp and rebellious 17-year-old living in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles with her single mother, Laurie, and Laurie's new boyfriend, Bob. Their household becomes more complicated when Bob's son, Luke, who is struggling with mental health issues, returns home from rehab to live with them. As Erica tries to navigate the challenges at home, she also deals with her friends Kala and Claudine. Together, they respond to the tension by uncovering and revealing a troubling secret about one of their high school teachers, which leads Erica to act out in response to her difficult personal and family situation.

Rebellious, quick-witted Erica Vandross is a 17-year-old firecracker living with her single mom, Laurie, and her mom's new boyfriend, Bob, in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley. When Bob's mentally unbalanced son, Luke, arrives from rehab to live with the family, Erica finds her domestic and personal life overwhelmed. With Luke and her sidekicks Kala and Claudine in tow, Erica acts out by exposing a high school teacher's dark secret.
