Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Joel Barish becomes devastated after discovering that his girlfriend has had a medical procedure to erase all memories of him from her mind. In response, he chooses to undergo the same treatment to remove his memories of her. As the process unfolds and his memories begin to disappear, Joel realizes that he still loves her deeply and struggles with the possibility that it might be too late to undo the damage and save their relationship.
