Detachment

The story follows Henry Barthes, a substitute teacher who spends three weeks moving between different high schools. Through his perspective, we see the experiences of various teachers, administrators, and students. Henry teaches in multiple schools, sharing knowledge but avoiding deep personal connections, as he never stays in one place long enough to build meaningful relationships.
