Crossing Over

Every day, immigrants from various countries arrive in Los Angeles, each carrying hopes for a better future but often unaware of the challenges and sacrifices involved. Their struggles bring them into contact with immigration officers, whose own sense of compassion and duty is put to the test. In the film Crossing Over, writer-director Wayne Kramer examines both the appeal of the American dream and the complex, often difficult experiences that immigrants face as they try to build new lives in modern-day Los Angeles.
