After their daughter Blair moves out, Luther and Nora Krank decide to skip their usual Christmas celebrations and instead plan a vacation on a tropical island to avoid feeling lonely during the holidays. Their choice to abandon the neighborhood's traditional festivities causes upset among their neighbors. However, on Christmas Eve, Blair calls unexpectedly to say she will visit with her new fiancé, leaving the Kranks with only twelve hours to quickly organize a festive holiday gathering that brings their family and community together.
Detailed Synopsis of Christmas with the Kranks
When their only daughter Blair leaves the family nest, Luther and Nora Krank decide to book an island cruise to beat the yuletide blues and just skip the holidays. But their decision to boycott tradition has the whole neighborhood in an uproar, and when Blair calls on Christmas Eve to announce a surprise visit with her new fiancée, the Kranks have just twelve hours to perform a miracle and pull themselves and their neighbors together to throw the best celebration ever!
