Irena Gallier returns to New Orleans to reunite with her brother Paul, who is a minister, after many years apart. Their reunion coincides with the capture of a wild panther by local zoologists, which attracts Irena's attention. At the same time, Oliver, the zoo curator, becomes interested in Irena. As events unfold, Paul feels compelled to disclose a family secret: both siblings transform into predatory jungle cats when they experience sexual arousal.
Detailed Synopsis of Cat People
After years of separation, Irena Gallier and her minister brother, Paul, reunite in New Orleans. When zoologists capture a wild panther, Irena is drawn to the cat – and zoo curator Oliver to her. Soon, Paul will have to reveal the family secret: that when sexually aroused, they revert into predatory jungle cats.
