In a neighboring region, Baron Oddo de Serra rules harshly over his subjects, causing many of his servants to flee across the border into the lands of Count Gualtiero of Roccalta to escape his mistreatment. In response to this, the baron devises a plan to assassinate the count, aiming to eliminate his neighbor and possibly regain control over the fleeing servants.

Baron Oddo de Serra who is cruel to his subjects, is neighbor of the Count Gualtiero of Roccalta. The servants of the baron cross the lands of Count to escape his abuses. Baron hatches a plot to assassinate the earl.
