In the 1960s, the Weber family took refuge in a bomb shelter after a bomb scare, remaining isolated underground for 35 years. When Adam Weber finally emerges into modern-day Los Angeles, he must navigate the unfamiliar city to find food and supplies for his family still living in the shelter, as well as search for a wife who has not been affected by the outside world's changes.
