During a routine reconnaissance flight over Bosnia, fighter pilot Lieutenant Chris Burnett captures images of a secret event, which leads to his plane being shot down in hostile territory controlled by Serbian forces. Stranded behind enemy lines, Burnett must evade capture by an aggressive Serbian general and his troops. As the situation becomes increasingly urgent and Burnett is pursued by a skilled tracker, his commanding officer, Admiral Reigart, chooses to defy orders and organize an unauthorized rescue operation to bring him home safely.

While flying a routine reconnaissance mission over Bosnia, fighter pilot Lt. Chris Burnett photographs something he wasn't supposed to see and gets shot down behind enemy lines, where he must outrun an army led by a ruthless Serbian general. With time running out and a deadly tracker on his trail, Burnett's commanding officer, Admiral Reigart, decides to risk his career and launch a renegade rescue mission to save his life.
